Summer time here at News 12 this morning we are heading to camp Lauren de is at the girl scouts summer camp in Farmingdale Lauren. What are we doing now? We are on the lake. We still have out there, the CEO of Girl Scouts, Jersey shore. And now we woke up the girl scouts and they are awake. I think they had some doughnuts. They're, they're ready to go, ready to go. Should we go talk to somebody and see what they're doing? Ok. So, uh, you're one of the camp counselors? You're a mom. What, what's your name? Hi. My name's Ashley. But my camp name is Tapper. Ok. That's right. Because we got to go buy camp names here. So, what's everyone? Ok. So we're out here this morning and we're seeing if we can find some specimens for our tanks over at the nature hut. All right, let's go see. I'm gonna go ask them if they found any. What's your name? Did you find anything yet? No. What, what's your name? Savannah. And what's your camp name? Do you, you don't have one yet? We gotta think of one. I don't have a camp name. Either. So, we gotta think of it too. All right. Did you find anything yet? Did you, did you find anything? No, anything yet for you? No. And mom, you're three generation girl scouts, right? Yes. Uh, my name is Broadway, but my real name is Jessie Broadway. I love it. How did you get a name like that? I, by the time I picked, no, I do not think I am not a performer. No, by the time, um I picked my camp name, I saw over 50% Broadway shows and it just fit my personality. Wow. Ok. So you love Broadway shows and you love Girl scouts. But why do you love girl scouts so much to make your girls do it. So, in all honesty, I have two girls here and it builds their confidence. Like my youngest, my oldest, sorry sold Girl scout cookies and it build her confidence and made her so happy just to do it. That's amazing. Any. Did you find anything yet? Oh. And what are you looking through in there? Did you see anything in there? No, nothing yet. That's, I think it's still early. We'll wake everyone up this morning. Did you find anything in yours? What did we call these Bugno? Right? Anything yet? Wait, who's Cupcake? Cupcake is down there? Right? There's Cupcake. Cupcake is the girls are already this morning. All right. Should we uh you wanna try it? So you wanna show us how it's done. Tip the net in and show us how you can. So you're looking for specimens on up. We see, sometimes we see, sometimes we get our toads, our frogs, anything scary like snapping turtles. We do have snapping turtles, but they live way out there, way out by our lake house. Well, we are actually getting the canoe later on, I think. Right. We're gonna do that. Ok. We are, we're going to girl scout camp. I'm gonna figure out a name and, uh, we're gonna have some fun this morning. We're in Farmingdale at the girl scout camp. Lauren De is New Jersey.
