A warm, humid and stormy pattern has now set up over the area and this will stick around for the first half of the weekend.
Waves of rain and strong storms will roll through New Jersey Friday night and again on Saturday. Stay weather aware because these storms could bring damaging wind gusts, hail, a lot of lightning and very heavy rain.
A tornado also can't be ruled out with this type of atmosphere.
The storms will eventually quiet down late Friday night and the winds will be light. Fog will develop overnight and into early Saturday morning.
A round of storms are possible again early Saturday morning with perhaps another round later in the day.
There is still some uncertainty with the timing on the storms and the strength, but the ingredients are there for more powerful winds and hail.
Temperatures will really warm up on Saturday. Temperatures will climb into the mid-80's with some afternoon sunshine. It's this sunshine that potentially could fuel the storms later in the day.
A sharp cold front will move through late Saturday and drier weather will settle in for Sunday. Temperatures will cool down into the 70's and then 60's later next week.
Next chance of rain will move in by mid-week.
