Today was the second day of 90-degree temperatures. Tomorrow will be the third, making for our sixth heat wave of the summer.
Winds from the south and west will inevitably drag more humid Carolina air back up the East Coast. Starting tomorrow, it will once again feel like August in New Jersey. Hazy, hot and humid weather sticks around for the rest of the week and possibly into the weekend.
Passing storms are possible Wednesday into Thursday. Pop-up thunderstorms will slowly roam around our late afternoon/early evening skies on Wednesday. By Thursday, a little more significant line of weather will cruise through with a cold front. While the front won't bring cooler air, it may knock down the humidity levels from disrespectful to air you can wear.
Tropical Storm Erin has formed in the Western Atlantic. We are five to six days away from this being anything to be concerned about. Right now, model guidance has Erin developing into a hurricane, steering towards the East Coast, but staying far enough offshore where it doesn't pose a problem to any cities along the coast. It will pass by, possibly creating the first tropical swell of the season and making for some really rough conditions at the beaches.
More on this in the coming days.
