The race is on for students and parents who need to pick up last minute school supplies.
With Labor Day marking summer's fade into fall, lines at office supplies stores are staying long and keeping employees busy.
"A lot of last minute shoppers," says Linda Locke, manager at the Riverdale Staples.
A number of students talking to News 12 New Jersey opted to go green with their school shopping by picking up items such as folders made of sugar cane.
Most stores have said they'll keep their shelves stocked throughout the start of school in case students need anything.
