A group of Bronx high school seniors took an important walk Thursday toward their bright futures.
The 12th-graders at the International Leadership Charter High School in Kingsbridge marched in unison to their local post office to mail their college applications.
One by one, the students dropped their envelopes off, saying it's something they've spent months preparing for. It's a particularly big moment for some who say they'll be the first members of their families to go to college.
Now that applications have been sent off, students say the hard part really begins - waiting to find out if they have been accepted into their chosen universities. Students could hear back from schools as early as February of next year.
The class walk to the post office is an annual tradition for the school.
