The Hudson Valley is recovering after powerful storms moved through the region Wednesday afternoon.

Conditions are calmer now, with no weather issues and cooler temperatures compared to this time yesterday.

The storms brought high winds, heavy rain, thunder and hail across parts of the region.

In West Harrison, hail could be heard hitting rooftops as the storm moved through.

Strong winds also brought down a tree in Katonah, and some residents experienced power outages.

Drivers may still encounter ponding on roads and debris from the storms, but overall conditions have improved for the morning commute.
