(AP) - Gov. Phil Murphy says New Jersey's death toll from the coronavirus is approaching 300 a day after the tally reached about 200. Murphy said during a daily news conference Tuesday that the number of positive cases is near 19,000, up from about 16,000. And he says the death toll climbed from 198 to 267 overnight. Among the dead were a 33-year-old firefighter from Passaic and a 30-year-old baseball coach from Cliffside Park. Also, New Jersey's U.S. attorney and the state attorney general have teamed up to crack down on fraud stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The statewide total number of coronavirus cases in New Jersey now stands at 18,696 cases, after Gov. Phil Murphy just announced 2,196 new cases. The governor also announced 69 additional deaths, bringing the statewide death toll to 267.
 - One of the deaths was 33-year-old Passaic firefighter Israel Tolentine Jr.
 - The testing site at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel will be open at 8 a.m. Wednesday. It will be for New Jersey residents only. The Bergen Community College site will be closed Wednesday.
 - Three more county-sponsored testing sites are preparing to open.

 - New Jersey has received more PPE for health care workers
- Anyone who has PPE to donate should let state officials know.
 - Municipal water companies will be voluntarily halting all service shut-offs during the emergency.
 - The New Jersey Attorney General's Office will be cracking down on physicians or pharmacists who are hoarding drugs or inappropriately prescribing them.
 - Gov. Murphy addresses unemployment and asks employers to keep employees on the payroll.

 - The NJ DEP collected nearly 10,0000 PPE masks to donate.
