Officials have announced settlements with two bars in New Jersey that "overserved" customers, who then caused fatal motor vehicle crashes in unrelated incidents, with alcohol.
According to officials, Alloway Village Inn in Alloway and Brickwall Tavern Burlington will not be able to serve liquor for a month.
Officials say in addition to their liquor license suspension, both bar owners will have to pay fines of over $100,000.
The announcement comes after three separate drunk driving crashes involving customers who were overserved at Brickwall Tavern & Dining in 2016 and at Alloway Village Inn in 2013 and 2015.
Four people were killed in the crashes.
