The Grammy Museum Experience at the Prudential Center in Newark received a visit Wednesday night from singer Gloria Gaynor, who’s hoping for a win next weekend at the Grammy Awards.
The New Jersey native is up for two Grammy Awards for her gospel album, "Testimony," a passion project years in the making.

"People came to me with love and that love it comes out in that music, and people are getting that, they're feeling that," says Gaynor.
Gaynor rose to stardom some 40 years ago, and cemented her place in music history with her hit, "I Will Survive"-- which she sang for News 12 during an interview last year.

Gaynor spoke at the Grammy Museum Experience at the Prudential Center last night as part of a weeklong series of Q and A sessions leading up to the awards.

"These programs, they're entertaining but they're also educational in the sense that they talk about the creative process, the artist's history," says Mark Conklin, with the Grammy Museum.
