The Catholic Church in New Jersey is extending the period for sex abuse victims to seek compensation.
Last year, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the former Archbishop of Newark, was defrocked after revelations of sex abuse that went back years.
More than $9 million in 76 different cases have so far been paid out.
The new deadline for claims to be filed is Feb. 15.
