Frustrated parents and students in Toms River took their grievances to Trenton after school district officials said budget cuts have left them virtually inoperable for the next school year.
Thousands were gathering this morning at the arena on the school campus of Toms River North High School before traveling in a caravan to the State House.
It's all over what's called Senate Bill S2, which changed the formula for state funding.
The town asked for an additional $5 million in funding and heard back from Trenton - the state offered just 20% of what the school asked for.
District officials called it a slap in the face.
