Police in Elmwood Park say a man who was attacked during a confrontation with five people, stabbed two of them before fleeing.

Police in Elmwood Park say a man who was attacked during a confrontation with five people, stabbed two of them before fleeing.
The incident happened Wednesday at a strip mall located at 104 Route 46 East.
According to police, the man pulled up to the mall, and as he exited his car, he was attacked by five people who threw him to the ground and began kicking and striking him. 
Police say the man then broke free and stabbed two of the attackers, one in the head and one in the hand.
Five people are in custody, but the driver of the car, Danny Vlado, remains at large.
Police are reviewing surveillance video from nearby and interviewing witnesses.
