One of the defendants in the Bridgegate trial dropped his appeal Friday.
A letter filed with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals asked to have Bill Baroni's case sent back to the lower court.
His attorney says they want a new sentence as soon as possible so Baroni can start serving that sentence.
The request comes after the appellate court upheld convictions of Baroni and Bridget Kelly in the 2013 lane closures of the George Washington Bridge.
Kelly appears to be moving ahead with her appeal.
