Storms knock out power, downs wires across New Jersey

At one point Monday, more than 25,000 JCP&L customers were left in the dark.

Strong storms that ripped through New Jersey Monday knocked out power and downed trees.
In Holmdel Township, a tree fell onto some wires along Route 34. The roadway was closed for most of the morning, but has since reopened.
At one point, more than 25,000 JCP&L customers were left in the dark.
There was also storm damage in Wall Township and road closures in Ocean County.
