Persistent and becoming expeditiously annoying rain is in the forecast for the next few days. The News 12 Storm Watch Team says 1-3 inches of water could fall from the sky during this time. Localized flooding may be an issue at times. Coastal issues with persistent onshore winds, beach erosion and low-lying flooding will occur.
It's a slow-moving storm that unravels over the Midwest and Northeast over the coming days. Pack your patience and dream of better days because this week's forecast has fallen out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
It is still too early for specifics and it'll likely not happen, but there is an outside chance neighborhoods north of Interstate 80 could see a tiny bit of snow early Thursday morning before melting away. It’s something to keep in the back of your mind. Otherwise, a rainy scenario through Thursday is to be expected.
Friday into the weekend the weather begins to improve. Windy, but nice. And hopefully, we have a nice warm-up to look forward to by the middle of next week. Some spots could be flirting with 70 degrees.
