FORECAST:
Fog lingers across the state this morning, slowly lifting in some spots to feature some breaks of sun for the midday. These breaks of sun fuel the atmosphere's instability, causing scattered thunderstorms and periods of downpours. These rainy moments are progressive, so they're moving steadily from south to north and not dwelling over any particular towns.
There could be some flooding or ponding on the roads causing travel delays. Temperatures can reach the mid-70s where there are enough sunny breaks.
Tonight's low will be in the upper 50s and tomorrow's weather should be better.
It will be damp to start but improved for the midday as afternoon highs will be in the mid-70s with some sun. It will be partly sunny.
Thursday continues the fair situation, but sun can destabilize the atmosphere again causing pop up showers in the mid-afternoon.
Rain returns moderately Thursday overnight and through Friday before clearing out for a perfect Mother's Day weekend filled with sunshine and warm temperatures.
