Still dry, near record highs by Wednesday

There isn't as strong of a fire threat due to elevated humidity, but the drought remains, and the environment is still dry.

The temperatures will stay cool for now but will really warm up Wednesday.
The rain stays away again this week.
The forecast is unanimous: Election Day will be sunny and pleasant with daily highs about 10 degrees warmer than average.
There will be near or possibly record-breaking warmth for Wednesday.
The strong flow of Carolina air plus sunshine will help the mercury in our New Jersey thermometers to rise quickly to the upper 70s and low 80s.
Blustery south winds not only help warm the air but will be New Jersey Forestry Service firefighters' biggest nemesis. The winds will help fan and wildfire flames again quickly.
The rest of the eventually cools down and fair weather brings more sunny and dry conditions.
