A state police pursuit on the Merritt Parkway ended in a crash in Bridgeport on Friday.

State police say a vehicle that was involved in the crash on the northbound side of the parkway fled the scene at about 2 p.m.

Troopers eventually located the vehicle near Exit 30.

The pursuit ended on Main Street in Bridgeport after the driver of the vehicle crashed.

State police said one person is in custody.
