State police say one the driver of a passenger vehicle was killed in a crash Monday on the Thruway in the Town of Woodbury near Exit 16.

Police say the vehicle was stopped on the right shoulder and re-entered the roadway when it was struck by the tractor-trailer.

According to police, the accident happened on the southbound side around 6:20 a.m.
