Two people were injured in a reported stabbing on Rutgers College Avenue Campus in New Brunswick.
An alert went out to students at around 6:45 p.m. alerting them about a stabbing near Mettler Hall. Another alert went out several minutes later saying that a suspect was in custody.
According to the Rutgers Police Department, officers responded to reports of an aggravated assault near the dormitory and found two people injured. They were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Students tell News 12 New Jersey that the incident may have been related to an argument in the Mettler Hall lounge.
A suspect was quickly located and arrested.
The extent of the victims' injuries has not been released.
