(03/30/06) SPRINGFIELD ? Parents and students at Jonathan Dayton High School have taken matters into their own hands to improve conditions inside the school.
The school board didn?t have enough money to install air conditioning, something students say is desperately needed. According to students, temperatures inside the classrooms can often reach 100 degrees at certain times of the year. In order to raise money, parents and students organized a walk-a-thon for the cause.
The school board will pay for electricity if enough funds are raised for air conditioning units. Anyone interested in contributing to the cause can call (973) 376-1025. Checks should be made payable to:
