A school in South Amboy has undergone a thorough sanitization after a teacher was diagnosed with viral meningitis.
A letter was sent home to parents at South Amboy Elementary School letting them know that the teacher was sick and advising them about the illness. The letter also stated what steps parents should take to protect their children.
The teacher is out of school and will not be able to return to work until she has been cleared by her doctor.
The teacher's classroom and all the common areas were sanitized Tuesday before students and staff arrived.
