A camp in Somerset has announced it is offering children from Ukrainian families who live in the state free summer camp.

Oak Crest Day Camp is using this initiative with the hope children find respite from the trauma of the war.

"We believe this is a great way to sort of get them some kind of healing from the conflict in the Ukraine,” said Jonathan Gold, owner/director of Oak Crest. “I just think it’s a low priority there now with everything that's going on. Nobody's thinking about summer. We're trying to give them a summer experience to help them get through the horrific experience that they've just been dealing with over there in Eastern Europe."
