Children who are hungry aren’t always the most engaged. Add in virtual learning and an unstructured environment, and it could be the recipe for a bad school day.
Groups like Big Brothers and Big Sisters can provide additional support to kids who would benefit from having a mentor.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties CEO Carlos Lejnieks spoke to News 12’s Kristina Behr about how having these mentorships can help students thrive during the pandemic.
