Parts of Morris and Passaic counties felt the effects of a small earthquake Monday evening.
The United States Geological Survey reports that a 1.0-magnitude earthquake developed about .6 miles north of Wanaque at around 10 p.m.
Several residents in Butler and Ringwood also reported to News 12 New Jersey that they felt rumblings in the area.
There have been several small earthquakes in northern New Jersey this year.
