With just days until the start of legal adult use sales of marijuana and the Cannabis Regulatory Commissions giving the greenlight to seven dispensaries earlier in the week, many smaller marijuana businesses are wondering when they will be able to sell.
Though small businesses have been able to apply for licenses, they still won’t be able to sell in the coming weeks.
“They were grandfathered in through the legislation. That's why they're the first ones getting the right to do so,” said Chirali Patel, Blaze Law firm.
The process for small businesses to apply for licenses opened in March.
A total of 102 conditional licenses have been awarded so far to smaller businesses.
