A 9-year-old girl and an 11-month-old baby were sleeping early Friday morning when three bullets were fired into their bedroom, the children’s grandmother told News 12 New Jersey.
Valerie Freeman said she called police after a round of gunfire traveled through the children’s bedroom at an apartment on Alois Avenue in Paterson.
"Everybody's OK. The bullet came through the wall and could have easily hit them," she said.
Freeman said her 20-year-old daughter, who is the mother of the baby, was also sleeping in the room when the shots were fired.
No one was injured.
Paterson police are investigating.
