Shelter-in-place order temporarily issued for parts of Edison lifted following chemical incident

A temporary shelter-in-place order following a chemical incident in Edison has been lifted.

A temporary shelter-in-place order following a chemical incident in Edison has been lifted.
News 12 is told the spill may have created a chemical cloud from a plant on Meadow Road.
According to a release, the Edison Township, the Edison Fire Department and police department say the situation is over and deemed safe by local and state officials on the scene. 
Residents no longer need to shelter in place and can open their doors, windows and use their air conditioners, according to the release.
