New Jersey welcomed more than 50 shelter dogs to the state as they arrived at Morristown Airport.
The puppies are asymptomatic heartworm-positive and are being given a second chance as part of the Good Flights program created by Greater Good Charities.
“So, today we are in celebration of Greater Good Charities’ 15-year anniversary. We are conducting a lifesaving airlift…to transport 56 shelter dogs from Louisiana and Alabama up here to their forever homes here in New Jersey,” says Colleen Harrington, director of Pets Programs at Greater Good Charities.
The dogs will be transferred to shelters across the East Coast to find their new homes.
