Severe rainstorms have moved across parts of New Jersey causing some damage and knocking out power to thousands.
News 12 New Jersey meteorologists say very gusty winds with some spin in an unstable environment could lead to isolated tornadoes today.
High wind warnings, as well as coastal flood and wind advisories, have also been issued for much of New Jersey.
News 12 meteorologists say scattered showers and the chance for thunderstorms will continue into this evening, with heavy rain possible and strong gusty winds.
Winds will continue to gust 60 to 65 mph until later this evening, when the rain tapers off.
Those gusts could cause downed branches and power lines, potentially bringing the chance for power outages.
The rain will taper off Monday night. Tuesday will see a return to sunshine with highs in the upper-50s.
