Warm temperatures and juicy air will combine to create dangerous weather on Saturday.
Early sunshine will allow temperatures to soar quickly from nighttime lows in the upper 60s to the mid- to upper 80s. Humidity levels will also be elevated.
When it rains, it is going to pour and localized flooding could be an issue. The bigger concern is that guidance is suggesting a considerable amount of lightning with most of the storms tomorrow. Damaging winds are also a concern. While the chance is small, it is still there.
There is enough energy in the atmosphere and enough spin (wind changing direction with height) that a tornado could develop. Please be very weather aware after 2 p.m. The storms will develop quickly. Make sure you have a plan for when the weather goes sour.
The worst conditions will occur from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. from west to east. Leftover showers and lingering storms will carry over through the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Sunday looks great after the morning clouds move away from the coast. Temperatures and humidity levels will also level back down to where they should be for this time of year.
Most of next week looks sunny and dry.
