Top New Jersey officials are pointing fingers at the feds and demanding a contaminated site be cleaned up for the safety of residents.New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) says for more than a decade the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has known that the Cornell-Dubilier site was contaminated. He says the site is like a witches brew of toxins and deadly contaminants that affect nearby homes. Lautenberg recruited powerful California Senator and Head of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Barbara Boxer to rally support to clean up the dirty soil. They want the EPA to put up a fence to restrict access all around the contaminated site, re-test the 59 surrounding homes and install monitors to determine the extent of ground water contamination.Daphne Tarratun says she is so afraid of chemicals in her well water that she only drinks bottled water. She applauds the senators efforts.
