Security has been increased in New Jersey in the wake of last week's deadly terrorist attack in Paris.
Commuters across the state woke up to find increased presence of security officers at the state's transit hubs.
Although there are calls for even more security measures as the holiday season approaches, the director of New Jersey Homeland Security says that there are currently no credible threats in the state.
However, Director Chris Rodriquez says it is important for New Jerseyans to not let their guards down.
"In a free and open society it is important for people to be with their families, go out and go shopping, have fun," he says, "but also be aware. Report suspicious activity if you think something is wrong."
Rodriquez is also calling for extra security at "soft targets" in the state, such as crowded malls, theaters and schools, especially through the holiday season.
The director adds that anyone attending any religious organization should also be aware of anyone acting suspicious or acting out of the ordinary.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, there are currently 900 ISIS-related investigations going on in the United States.
