A second New Jersey teenager has died this week after sustaining injuries playing football.
Douglas Morales, 17, died Tuesday night at Hackensack University Medical Center. He had been placed on life support after being injured during practice Friday.
An autopsy is being conducted to determine the exact cause of death. The medical examiner says Morales' death was caused by Subderal Hemotoma, which is a collection of blood in the brain.
The 17-year-old is a native of Guatemala and will be taken back there for burial, according to friends.
Morales' death comes one day after a 13-year-old boy in Waldwick died during football practice.
