A Seattle man accused of smashing car windows during protests at Delaney Hall was arrested by Newark police on Friday.
Zion Napper, 28, is facing charges of criminal mischief.
“Our police commanders, supervisors, and officers are vigilant about safeguarding the rights of individuals to express their views during the protests at Delaney Hall,” Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. said. “However, no one has the right to come into our city, destroy personal property, or incite violence. Make no mistake. You will be swiftly arrested and face criminal charges. Think twice before coming to Newark with any other agenda than to protest peacefully.”
