A Roxbury Board of Education employee is facing discipline after he posted a Snapchat video disparaging students with autism and special needs.

The unidentified man is seen in the video, talking about the day he had. He references a service dog that is in the class and then says he would rather deal with the dog, than the kids.

He is heard calling the students an expletive that references students with special needs.

“Give me the dog. I can deal with the dog. And the teacher noticed I liked being with the dog more,” the employee is heard saying.

A representative for the school district says in a statement, “Once the district became aware of the video, immediate action was taken." But it was not clear if the employee was fired or put on leave.

The situation comes several days after a Roxbury elementary school teacher’s aide was accused of hoisting a special needs student by the ankles and shaking him because he was apparently misbehaving.
