The South Orange & Maplewood School District is pushing back its first day of classes due to damage from Ida.

The South Orange & Maplewood School District is pushing back its first day of classes due to damage from Ida.
In a memo on its website, the district says the storm not only damaged the facilities, but also vehicles including school buses.
Officials say the storm also interrupted preparation time for teachers.
The first day of school will now be Monday, Sept. 13.
