FORECAST:
Warm and muggy weather continues across the state with highs in the upper 80s, near 90 degrees again.
Showers develop this afternoon, earlier than yesterday, mostly in central and southern New Jersey, south of I-78. These showers will have lots of lightning and a few downpours, but the storms themselves will not likely be severe. Think of it as the typical summer rain with road ponding and lightning hazards.
The weather over the next few days is pretty good. A notable sea breeze keeps the air muggy across New Jersey and temperatures in the mis-80s.
A stray shower is expected on Sunday night and more showers by next Wednesday. The weekend is overall fair, lightly breezy, and muggy.
