Beachgoers in Sandy Hook were rushed out of the water as a precaution after a chlorine leak Tuesday.
The leak occurred at the sewage center that serves the park. The spill occurred within the plant, but gas escaped and northeast winds began spreading the fumes.
There have been no reports of injuries. Shuttles are being used to evacuate hundreds of visitors.
