Hundreds of Navy sailors and U.S. Marines are flooding New York City for the 22nd annual Fleet Week.
Thirteen vessels in total will make the trip up the Hudson River for the yearly event. Fleet Week continues until Tuesday.
New Jersey families of service personnel are ecstatic to have their loved ones home, even if it's just for a short time.
"There are no words to describe what I feel for him," said Belleville's Armando Perez, who traveled into the city in the wee hours Friday to see his son. Perez's son is a Marine aboard the U.S.S. Iwo Jima.
