The Board of Governors at Rutgers met behind closed doors Friday morning to discuss how to handle the recent arrests of several Scarlet Knights football players.
As News 12 New Jersey has reported, six players have been arrested in connection with two separate criminal cases involving armed robbery, burglary and assault.
The six players have been kicked off the team and suspended indefinitely from the university.
Coach Kyle Flood is also under investigation for allegedly sending an email to a professor which inquired about the academic status of a player.
A university spokesman told News 12 New Jersey that no action is likely to take place as a result of the meeting.
