Roxbury School District wants to make the holiday season less stressful for students by giving them some extra time off.
There have been many concerns over the pandemic and the recent school shooting in Michigan, and many children may need a mental health break.
That’s why Roxbury Schools in Morris County are giving students and staff the day off today.
The school district said in a letter to parents it would use one of its "emergency days."
School officials say they hope families take the extra day to take a moment to enjoy the season and de-stress.
