An 11-year-old boy battling a brain tumor got to meet one of his heroes thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The foundation already built Matt Adonis a Rangers-themed clubhouse for his backyard. And Friday he met Rangers legend Adam Graves.
“The smiles that I know Matt is going to have when he sets up his PlayStation, and he starts playing and hanging out and wearing his Ranger jersey,” Graves said. “I know one day when we get out on the ice and we start playing hockey together, we’ll be sharing stories and maybe even get some more photos to put up of Matt in a Rangers uniform.”
For the Make-A-Wish Foundation this was another proud day.
“We knew they could bring that Rangers extra-special sauce and this could be a great partnership for us,” says the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Michael Dominick.
The 11-year-old was also treated to a Rangers game Thursday night.
