A repair project along a stretch of roadway in Elizabeth has taken drivers on a costly and bumpy ride.Residents say workers dug up Broadway between Fourth and Fifth streets months ago, but never completed the job. Neighbors say they've called City Hall only to be told that inclement weather caused the standstill.
To make matters worse, drivers say they've had to shell out money to pay for repairs due to the bumpy road. "Front alignment - I had to fix it once already and I'm going to have to do it again soon," says Elmbra Lopez. "Look at how many potholes. It's a mess. It's a big mess."
Officials at Elizabeth City Hall would not comment on the work.
