A warning is in place this weekend along the Jersey Shore for long-lasting rip currents.
The National Weather Service says strong rip currents are possible through Saturday.
Beach-goers are urged to swim only where lifeguards are on duty.
The National Weather Service offers the following tips for dealing with rip currents:
*Don't fight the current.*Swim out of the current, then to shore. *If you can't escape, float or tread water. *If you need help, call or wave for assistance.
