A 6-year-old girl was rescued and taken to a local hospital after she was allegedly taken from a home in Washington Borough early Saturday morning.
The Washington Township Police Department responded just before 3 a.m. Saturday after receiving a report that the child was missing.
About one hour later, police located the child as she was returning home on foot.
An investigation led to the arrest of 27-year-old Lester Noe Perez-Amador, of Washington Borough.
Authorities say Perez-Amador knew the child. He was charged with first-degree home invasion burglary and first-degree kidnapping.
