Typical partisan rhetoric accompanied Gov. Jon Corzine?s budget address Tuesday.
Independent analysts are predicting Tuesday?s reaction will be repeated on the campaign trail from both sides.
Republicans argue Corzine could do way more to save New Jersey money.
"We need to make this state more affordable for the middle class families and unfortunately the governor's budget doesn't do that,? said minority leader Sen. Tom Kean, Jr.
Democrats, meanwhile, are saluting Corzine for stepping up at a crucial time.
?What I have to say is thank God for Jon Corzine,? said Assembly Speaker Joe Roberts. ?Had he not acted, begun to tighten our belts ? we?d be in worse shape this year.?
