Gov. Jon Corzine?s proposal to introduce new taxes isn?t sitting too well with New Jersey residents already convinced they pay too much to live in the Garden State.
Jackson resident Bob Achenbach doesn?t mind his yearly fee for a fishing permit, but says he drops too much dough when he gets behind the wheel.
?The tolls ... whenever I have to take the Turnpike or the Garden State Parkway, I think the tolls are extremely high,? he says.
Fellow fisherman Sorin Turturea, of Marlboro, has equal issues with the driving-related expenses.
?You get a little speeding ticket a few miles off on the speed limit with the court fees and everything else ... it's $150, $160,? says Turturea. ?Everywhere you turn, it seems like you're just paying and paying."
