A 14-year-old seventh grader is facing charges after he was allegedly found with 23 bags of heroin at school, according to a report in the
Bergen Record.
According to the report the boy's teacher spotted him with the drugs Friday. He attends a Paterson Public Schools' new alternative education program for middle school students with behavioral problems according to school officials.
The teen, whose name was not released due to his age, was charged with possession of heroin, intent to distribute and intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school.
The boy was released to his parents after the arrest, according to the report.
