A new report is grading the Top 25 Burger Chains on antibiotic use in their meat, and only two restaurants pass with flying colors.
The joint report from consumer and environmental groups analyzes the chains' plans to eliminate antibiotic use in their food.
According to the groups, using them contributes to antibiotic resistance in humans, creating superbugs.
Shake Shack and BurgerFi were the only chains that received As.
The other 22 received Fs and a D-minus, including chains such as Burger King, McDonald’s and White Castle.
The coalition hopes the report will change how beef is produced.
